I’m Rebecca Jane Peters, creator of The Silver Frog Deck of Illustrated Cards.
The deck began quite simply with a desire to create something I would want to turn to myself. I had always been drawn to cards as a way of pausing, reflecting and seeing things from a different perspective, but I sometimes found traditional tarot a little intimidating. I wanted to create something gentler — a deck that could offer insight without feeling predictive or prescriptive, and that could be returned to through all of life’s different seasons.
The Silver Frog Deck grew from that idea.
A Deck for All of Life's Seasons
Each card combines my own artwork with a word, theme or sentiment designed to prompt reflection. Some speak to the more difficult moments in life — patience, uncertainty, change or contemplation — while others celebrate friendship, harmony, intuition, new beginnings and the lighter moments that are just as much a part of being human.
What matters most to me is that there is no single “right” way to use the cards. They can offer a moment to stop and think, help you explore a situation from another angle, provide a little reassurance, or simply remind you of something you already know but may have temporarily lost sight of.
Over time, creating and using the deck has become less about finding answers and more about making space for them.
My hope is that The Silver Frog Deck feels warm, thoughtful and approachable — something you can come back to again and again for inspiration, perspective, comfort and reassurance through all of life’s seasons.
