Great potential

The hippopotamus or river horse can have many meanings, but not least, is its symbolism of holding great potential.  This card symbolises those moments when our plans could become something truly fulfilling.  When we have big hopes in what might transpire.  Keep the faith in those instances.  You too can achieve big dreams!

Dreaming big while remaining level-headed, however, is an art.  Having ambitions to achieve something important in life can be rewarding when it’s accompanied with tangible actions and the taking of practical, sequential steps to achieve those aspirations.  Each step forward gets you closer to your goal.  Sometimes it might feel like one step forward is actually taking you away from your goal, but your journey may well encompass such diversions to teach you something important along the way. Maybe we learn something new that alters our course and refines our dream for the better.

Great potential is about your potential.  Whatever you’re thinking might be the start of something that nourishes your soul at its very core, and will become an enduring source of inspiration and abundance for yourself and others.  Underneath the surface, though, there is great work to be done.  Cherish the insights you gain as you navigate the waters.
