Oneness

The armadillo girdled lizard is quite unique in that when frightened, these lizards bite their tail, rolling up into a ball for protection, with their spikes facing outward. Their Latin name, the ouroborus cataphractus, also relates to the dragon or serpent that eats it's tail, and has come to be associated as a symbol of regeneration or oneness.

The intent behind this card is to remind us of those times when we've started to understand our whole selves, including our shadow side as well as our shining one.

This card might come up because we've learned to accept our imperfections. We've learned from our mistakes, but realised we all make mistakes. We've forgiven ourselves. It's about letting go of regrets and rather living with the understanding that we did our best at the time. With this acceptance, we can go forward with a deeper understanding of who we are, and be at one with ourselves.
