Finding an Artistic Oracle Deck for Personal Growth

Updated: 12 hours ago

One of the key things to consider when choosing and consulting an oracle card deck is how the imagery actually makes you feel. Does it feel calming? Does it evoke a sense of peace or tranquility? Does the artwork draw you in and encourage you to pause for a moment?

Another important consideration is whether the meanings of the cards actually resonate with you. For me, an oracle deck for personal growth should offer more than simply beautiful images. The words and imagery together should encourage reflection, help you consider a situation from a different perspective, or perhaps offer a little comfort and reassurance when you need it.

This is what I’ve tried to achieve with The Silver Frog Deck of Illustrated Cards.

The illustrations were created over time, and some evolved considerably during the process. They were all drawn from my study, or from another place in which I felt comfortable and at ease. There was never any pressure to finish an image within a particular timeframe, so each one was given the space to develop until I felt happy with the end result.

I believe this has given the illustrations a rather enchanting quality, particularly when they are coupled with the individual meanings of the cards.

The original printed Silver Frog Deck has slightly shorter meanings printed on each card. One of the benefits of bringing the deck online through Rebecca Jane Living is that I’ve been able to expand on those meanings and offer a little more context for reflection. You can also consult the oracle cards online for free, using either a one-card or a choice of three-card readings.

The cards can also be used as journaling prompts for self-reflection. You might begin with a question or situation that is on your mind, select a card, and then write about whatever thoughts, feelings or associations the image and meaning bring up for you. There is no need to look for a prediction or a definitive answer. Sometimes the value is simply in noticing what resonates.

I’m also really pleased to have created a private space for this within My Readings Journal. Here you can save your readings along with the question you consulted the cards about and any private reflections or journaling you would like to add. Your saved information is associated with an anonymised member ID, helping to keep your personal reflections private.

If you are looking for an artistic oracle deck for personal growth, journaling or self-reflection, you are very welcome to consult The Silver Frog Deck at your leisure.

Take a moment, ask a question if you have one, and experience this reflective tool for online oracle card readings in your own space and in your own time.
